Add Command

Use this command to put local files and/or directories onto the remote server. If local-only files or directories are selected before using this command, the Files/Directories field is pre-populated by the selected local-only items.

What to add
Select what to add: files or directories.

Files / Directories
If you are adding files, type space-separated file paths (surround paths by double quotes if they contain space characters), or press Browse to browse for files.

If you are adding a directory, type a directory name here or press Browse Button to browse for a directory. For multiple directories, type space-separated directory paths (surround paths by double quotes if they contain space characters). Adding a directory will copy the directory with all its files to the newly created corresponding directory on the server (a subdirectory of the current remote directory).

Recursive
Choose this option if you want to add directories with all their subdirectories. This option is enabled only if directories are being added.

Add empty directories
Choose this option if, while adding directories, you want to create directories even if they have no files to add. This option is enabled only if directories are being added.

Use filters
Choose this option if you want to filter added files using include and exclude filters specified in Project Options - Misc .

Reproduce local directory structure
This option is used to mirror the local directory structure of added files on the remote server. For example, let's assume that currently selected remote directory is \test, its matching local directory is C:\Temp\fvc, and local file path to be added is C:\Temp\fvc\1\a.txt. If this option is selected, the remote file's path will be \test\1\a.txt. Otherwise, the remote path will be \test\a.txt.

Notify mailing list
Choose this option if you want to send a notification message to the selected mailing list. See Mailing Lists Settings for help on setting up FtpVC mailing lists. Select "Attach added file(s)" to attach added file(s) to the notification.
